Stoned on Stones a True Rock Hound

Truthfully I admit I am a rock hound.  I can’t stop myself. Although I am a jewelry designer, it is the stones that inspire me.  I get so motivated by gemstones that its like a drug.  I can get stoned on stones! Thank god I don’t need any actual drugs because I can loose myself in a simple stone.  Whether it be a plain rock on the beach, a unique  shape, unique color, unique patter or just about any stone with great chatoyancy.  My favorite gemstone that offers great colors and movement within the stone is opal.

In particular a beautiful boulder opal. They have additional colors because they are often left in the mother rock which adds even more dimension to its existence. When I see that rainbow shimmer in an opal it just brings me into another world.  A world of color and beauty!  A world I can imagine living in.  I just can’t wait to use my imagination to create something around the stone that will enhance mother natures creation!  It’s a blessing every time I see a gemstone that resonates with me. It is hard to quantify using just words. Its more like an experience!  It makes me dizzy with excitement about what I will manifesting with it and share with the world.  That experience of what I can imagine is endless. For me probably for the rest of my life it is what makes me stoned on Stones.
